Hello to all of you beautiful, Buffalo Brides!
Since the last time I wrote, we have….
Drum roll please!
BOOKED OUR RECEPTION VENUE!!
My what a feat we have conquered! After months of venue tours, showings and appointments, Joe and I have settled on Samuel’s Grande Manor to host our upcoming celebration. Who knew that choosing a venue would boil down to such little decisions, such as outdoor space, décor that fulfills our taste as well as food choices? Nonetheless, we couldn’t be happier that the venue portion of our wedding is now covered!
In the months to come, we will be able to meet with our wedding consultant to begin our menu pairings and options, as well as gathering ideas for centerpieces, décor and working with our theme. How exciting!
But for now, the little, yet very important parts need to be taken care of.
Recently, I have begun searching online for wedding invitation ideas. My, the countless websites that come up when you are in search for invitations/save the dates!
It’s wonderful that most companies offer free samples to order so you can see which templates will fit your wedding's theme. So far, I have taken a great linking to the sites Minted as well as Wedding Paper Divas. With such intricate designs, ranging from foil decorated options, to full glitter, as well as laser cut designs, these sites cover a wide range of beautiful choices.
Another area that I am hoping to tackle soon is choosing bridesmaid gowns. With the Gatsby theme I have already chosen, there are a few styles which I have fallen for. Gold, glitter and glam are the three components I am in search of when finding that one perfect gown for my beautiful bridesmaids.
In coming to a close for now, this weekend I will be venturing out to Victoria’s Bridal in Williamsville with my Maid of Honor and my mother in search of my very own wedding gown! For years, I’ve had the same style in mind for my wedding gown; lacey, fitted with a very long train accompanied by a little bit of sparkle. So we shall see what this trip to the salon brings about!
Until next time, Brides!
