It’s wedding season, Buffalo Brides!

We are kicking off our summer before the wedding with a blast! Joe and I are finally moving into our new home within the next few days and we could not be more excited! Furnishings and all are complete, minus a few smaller items but we are ready to start this new, wonderful, and exciting chapter in our lives!

So since my latest blog post, my first of two bridal showers have come and gone! They weren’t kidding when they told you the last six months before the wedding would fly by!

My first bridal shower, held by my wonderful mother was absolute perfection!!! Beyond my wildest dreams, the shower was everything I could have ever imagined. The location was the gorgeous (Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo - we have it in the Greenhouse Room, which I highly recommend!) and my goodness, with all of the decorations, the room blew me away!

The brunch food selection was impeccable! Anyone having a shower there, Pearl Street caters the Greenhouse Room, and their food is amazing. The berry stuffed French Toast was TO DIE FOR! I made sure there was a mimosa bar because who doesn’t want one on a Sunday morning?! Amongst the rest, we had a tea and coffee station and The Village Bake Shoppe of Lewiston, NY supplied the most delicious and beautifully decorated lemon cupcakes!

My bridal party was the biggest help for the day! Between my two amazing bridesmaids, Tara and Devyn running the games, my Maid Of Honor Jeanette making sure everything was perfect and the others helping when it came to setup and gift time, it all flowed so perfectly! I was so sad when it came to an end, but the day was magical, just like any bride could have pictured. ALTHOUGH, the whole morning leading up to the shower was a rainy mess!! But I guess a little rain on shower days and the wedding brings all the more good luck!

Since my shower, I’ve met with my wedding coordinator at Samuel's Grande Manor to square up the small things such as table centerpieces, décor ideas, who each entertainer will be, and the ever-impending seating chart….HELP! Now that we have our invite list ready to go, putting together the seating arrangements is up next on our to-do list…and boy am I dreading this!

Another addition to the to-do list is addressing and sending out the invitations! With about 330 people invited, we are looking at nearly 180 invites to be sent out by the second week of July! Crazy to think that time is winding down and nearing our big day!

Smaller things to be finished are my wedding gown alteration appointments, the groomsmen tuxedo orders, putting together the wedding favors for each attendee, and day of hair and makeup appointments!

In the coming weeks, I have another bridal shower to look forward to at the end of July, given by my lovely mother-in-law along with my in-law family as well as my nothing too crazy, bachelorette weekend with the girls! So many fun activities coming up in preparation for the wedding!!

To top everything off, Joe and I just celebrated our EIGHT-year anniversary! While it is a little bittersweet that this is the last “dating anniversary” we will celebrate, I look forward with happiness the new one we are about to create!

There is nothing better than growing over the years with your special someone. Joe has been my rock, my voice of reason and my very best friend since I could remember. Such a special day to celebrate the love and respect we have for one another!

That is all I have for now, Buffalo Brides!

You’ll be hearing from me again after my second shower!
