Happy Fall, Buffalo Brides!

Quite a few plans have developed since last month, which is always a good thing in the wedding planning world!

This week, Joe and I are having our engagement photos taken by the wonderful Rustic Willow Photography, to test drive some ideas for our big day! Although we have been engaged going on three years this Christmas, it’s never too late to celebrate and document such a wonderful time in our lives!

We chose Glenn Falls in Williamsville for our pictures because that is where my wonderful husband-to-be popped the question! I have always wished that we had photos from that day, which is why doing the engagement shoot there will tie it all together!

Also this week, Joe and I are also going to get the wedding bands picked out and ordered! With so many styles, colors and sizes to look at, this is for sure going to be a bit of a task! Thanks to our friends at Firth’s Jewelers, hopefully this will be as easy as one, two, three! Thank God for Pinterest, I have a nice organized board for what I am looking for!

We also have been visiting local florists for bouquets and décor ideas for the wedding. Diane’s Floral in Wheatfield is going to help us out with that! For the end of the ceremony, thanks to my mother-in-law's wonderful idea, we will be making little doily cone shaped holders filled with rose petals to have thrown, instead of the common bubbles or confetti choice. This is bound to create a photo to keep forever!

We are still in the process of figuring out what style and flavor cake we will have, but know for sure that the Village Bake Shoppe in Lewiston will be helping us out to make our dreams come true! We have so many ideas for the cake, but so many questions still to answer!

How many layers?

Will they all be the same flavor?

What will the decorations look like?

Who knew a cake would take this much consideration?! But what we do have is our cake topper thanks to Waterford Crystal and their elegant bride and groom figures!

So many little details to cover in what seems like enough time, but we all know when it comes to wedding planning there NEVER is enough time!

Finally, the most recent development in the DiLeo wedding has been the rehearsal dinner, which will be held the Thursday before at Park Club in Williamsville.  When the rehearsal dinner comes to mind, so does the writing of our vows, the creation of our ceremony, the church portion and so on.

But until next time…..

xXx Sar
