Hello again fellow Buffalo Brides!
Here we are, less than 500 days until, “I Do!,” and not too much has been in the works for us within this last month.
We are still in search for vendors; may that be music, photography, videography and so on, with the list seemingly growing.
Thankfully with the help of online bridal planning sites such as Buffalo Brides, The Knot, and Wedding Wire, we have many options to choose from, yet are just unsure on how to make that final selection. Solidifying a perfect vendor in each area for the big day has been tough. So for now….. we will venture onward with our search.
A new blossom in our plans has been the venue choice and booking of one of my bridal showers! Although we are a bit far away, securing the date (June 24th, 2017!!!) was needed. The Four Points by Sheraton in Niagara Falls, right on the Niagara River has been the location I’ve had my eye on for ages. With such beautiful views, being right on the water, a June shower just felt perfect.
I'll call it “Brunch and Bubbly!” Since we are a ways out from the date, we have some time to choose and perfect the menu and desserts for the shower. But what I am concentrating on for now is getting together my ideas for décor and games. Boy oh boy, let's thank God for Pinterest.
Theme wise I envision light pinks, white and gold for my colors, with a teahouse vibe, giving off a very chic and sophisticated aura. Throw in some DIY centerpieces and delectable baked goods with great door prizes and there you have Sarah’s Shower! (With more minor additions I am sure.)
Another area that I hope to tackle soon is finalizing the bridesmaid dresses. With such crazy schedules, getting seven women together for dress shopping is a bit of a difficult task. Yet, it must be done!
The dress options from a local bridal shop, Tattlers Lane on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, has three very possible dress styles for my big day. I will write again on this subject once the gowns are picked…so for now I am just as anxious as all of you!
So until next time……
