Marisa M. Kossakowski and Matthew Alan Penrose were married at 4 p.m. on Sept. 24 in Roland E. Powell Convention Center, Ocean City, Md., where guests also gathered for a reception. Brian Orr, a friend of the bride and groom, heard the couple’s vows.
The bride’s parents are Linda A. Simar of West Seneca and Kenneth R. Kossakowski of Lancaster. The bridegroom’s parents are David and Gloria Penrose of Windber, Pa.
The bride, a graduate of West Seneca West High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Canisius College and also earned a master’s degree in tourism and hospitality management from Temple University. The bride is a director of sales and marketing.
The groom, a graduate of Windber High School, earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and medical technology from St. Francis University. He is a manager of Laboratory Outreach Sales and Services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
After a trip to the Hawaiian Islands, the couple have made their home in Maryland.
